This May Muir is going to be teaching his five-session photography class for anyone with a digital SLR who wants to learn how to move beyond their camera's "auto" mode and create photos like a pro.

The five sessions are titled:
1. "Understanding Exposure: Aperture, Shutter Speed, & ISO."
2. "Understanding Your Camera: Histograms and Metering."
3. "Controllling the Image: Lighting, Composition & Focus."
4. Hands-on: Practice Photo Session in Old Town
5. "Creating the Image: From Photo Shoot to Finish."

- Class Schedule: Every Thursday in May from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
- Location: Old Town Coffee & Chocolates, Eureka
- Fee: $125
